Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2027 Collection
Dolce & Gabbana embraced excess as a form of freedom. Titled “Stravaganza Siciliana,” the collection celebrated the idea that there is no single way to dress, mixing prints, textures, eras, and silhouettes with unapologetic exuberance.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana returned to one of their most enduring sources of inspiration: Sicily. The runway was framed by the interiors of a family palazzo, its Baroque frescoes opening onto a blooming garden, creating a setting that connected the collection to the island’s architecture, craftsmanship, and domestic traditions.
The designers also looked to clothing passed down through generations. Crochet skirts, grandmother-style bloomers, and heirloom-inspired pieces were reworked into modern silhouettes, suggesting that tradition becomes more relevant when it is interpreted rather than preserved unchanged.
That approach gave the collection its eclectic energy. Burgundy flared trousers covered in roses were paired with a sheer black-and-white polka-dot blouse, while voluminous shorts appeared beneath floral shirts with feminine neck ties. Loose denim was layered under floor-length leopard-print coats, turning everyday pieces into extravagant statements.
Leopard became one of the collection’s defining motifs, appearing across knit cardigans and long skirts as well as tailored jackets finished with a gilded patina. Floral and animal prints collided freely, reinforcing the designers’ belief that individuality comes from refusing to follow a single formula.
The craftsmanship was equally central. A military-green jacket covered in elaborate coral appliqué referenced the treasures of the Sicilian sea, while immaculate white dresses, shorts, and tops showcased traditional couture techniques. Multicolored crochet flowers were layered over black lace, transforming a familiar feminine combination into something almost sculptural.
Brocade, damask, and upholstery fabrics were reworked into dresses and jackets, adding weight and historical richness to the wardrobe. Elsewhere, boudoir dresses, intricate lace, sequins, crystal embellishment, and richly decorated jackets amplified the collection’s theatrical femininity.
