Manish Malhotra Fall 2026 Couture Collection

Manish Malhotra Fall 2026 Couture Collection

Manish Malhotra made an emotional Paris Haute Couture Week debut with a collection that honored the memory of his late mother while introducing his vision of contemporary Indian couture to an international audience. Deeply personal yet technically accomplished, the collection intertwined couture craftsmanship with the launch of his high jewelry creations.

Presented just months after earning a place on the official couture calendar, the collection was conceived following the passing of Malhotra’s mother, whose influence became the emotional heart of the show.

“I feel she’s constantly with me,” the designer said before the presentation. That sentiment shaped every silhouette, transforming the runway into an intimate tribute to love, memory, and resilience.

The opening look set the tone: a dramatic pleated opera coat wrapped around the body, embroidered with figures depicting the evolution of a mother-child relationship—from infancy through adulthood—capturing a lifelong bond in couture form.

Early silhouettes embraced the body like protective cocoons. An oval blush-pink cape densely embroidered with embellishments and a softly pleated butter-yellow jacket with an extended collar enveloping the face suggested comfort, protection, and emotional closeness.

Personal memories continued throughout the collection. Inspired by his mother’s love of stacked bangles, Malhotra translated the motif into sculptural gowns whose molded constructions wrapped the body with a futuristic elegance.

Themes of growth and transformation emerged in dresses shaped like unfolding flower petals, while oversized silk cords spiraled around the body before dissolving into cascading gold threads. Strong-shouldered evening looks introduced a sense of confidence and empowerment, balancing vulnerability with strength.
