Carolina Herrera Spring 2027 Collection
For Spring 2027, Wes Gordon celebrated 45 years of Carolina Herrera by returning to the glamorous spirit of the 1980s—the decade in which Herrera established her name—while giving its most recognizable codes a sharper, more playful contemporary edge.
Gordon embraced the world of Park Avenue and the “Ladies Who Lunch,” drawing on the polished extravagance, femininity, and wit that have long defined the house. Yet rather than reproducing the decade literally, he treated its references as a starting point for a modern wardrobe.
“There’s a sophisticated campiness to the clothes, and it’s worn proudly,” Gordon said. “It’s super chic, but in a playful way.” That balance shaped a collection built around the pleasure of dressing up, with Herrera’s characteristic polka dots, dramatic ruffles, and precise silhouettes appearing throughout.
The show moved through distinct color stories. Graphic combinations of white, black, and taxi yellow established the opening, followed by softer shades of pistachio green, dusty pink, salmon, and baby blue before culminating in more extravagant evening looks.
Daywear carried the same sense of occasion. A textured yellow knit combining ribbon, tweed, and chiffon captured the collection’s playful sophistication, while lace and tweed pencil skirts were paired with openwork cardigans and matching bralettes. Knit dresses finished with curled crinoline hems brought structure to otherwise simple silhouettes.
For evening, Gordon turned toward transparency and movement. Sheer chiffon printed with florals and polka dots created a lighter, more sensual mood, while sleeveless tunic-and-skirt combinations and a fitted pistachio-green lace dress introduced a fresh softness. The finale pushed the Herrera language toward full-scale drama, with sculptural organza ruffles creating exaggerated silhouettes.
The collection also demonstrated how Gordon continues to reinterpret the house’s most recognizable archetypes. The classic white Herrera shirt appeared with skinny trousers and a cinched sash, while richly embroidered jackets—finished with beaded fringe collars and cuffs and playful frog and zebra brooches—were styled with denim or textured pencil skirts.
